The Lee family of Stopsley are cave dwellers.
IBC worker Michael Lee, 52, and his wife Irene, 48, have bought a cave as a holiday home in Spain.
The couple from Clevedon Road paid about £40,000 for it and visit it regularly with their children Ryan, 16, and Melissa, 12.
Mr Lee explained that they first heard about cave dwelling in Galera through some people they made friends with while they were out in Spain on holiday.
He said “It´s great to live in a converted cave. Obviously they are unique   they are not your normal holiday home. Most are half cave and half renovated at the front but ours is more cave. They are warmer in winter and colder in summer so you don´t need air conditioning but we have all the mod cons. They try and keep it as natural as possible and keep the ceilings all rough. It´s the ambiance of the place itself that appeals. The area the caves are in is great. They are all traditional Spanish and you can leave your doors unlocked and that sort of thing and the sun sets over the hills at night. I would thoroughly recommend cave living to anyone. When people as us about cave houses we just tell them to try it. It´s not like anyting you could imagine.â€
