It is situated within walking distance of amenities (around 10/15 mins on foot or 5 mins by car) in the quiet, pretty and historical village of Galera which include small supermarkets, two banks, a hotel, bars, a pharmacy, a medical centre, a Town Hall, a butchers, a weekly market and swimming pool open during the summer months.
The nearest airport is 1.5 hours drive away (Granada), followed by Almeria (1h45), Murcia (2h15) and Alicante (2h30) airports and the coast is around 1h30 drive away although there are beach areas at Lake Negratin which is around 50 minutes drive away.
