Aldea de Cuenca is a hamlet in the municipality of Hinojares just 5 minutes outside the pretty village and the only municipality which is entirely Cazorla Natural Park. In the place of 7 Fuentes (springs), where when it rains or snows waterfalls cascade into the river Turillas which supplies the village with pure mountain water for irrigation to feed the orchards and olive groves.

Visitors can stroll through the village, hike through semi abandoned roads that lead to the top of the old winery, with the views of the Sierra Nevada in the background, Sierra Magina, and nearby villages seem to be so tiny you could place the in your hand. A truly magical area to get away from it all.

The village also has an office Meson Rural and health centre. It is a haven of peace where only the sound of water disrupts the river
